| American Veterans Traveling Tribute is next week Posted: 19 Jan 2011 09:21 PM PST Advertisement American Veteran's Traveling Tribute will be bringing their Cost of Freedom Tribute to FortMyers, FL from Jan. 20-22, 2011. The tribute will be located at the Lee County Sports Complex as part of the American Heroes Air Show taking place on Saturday Jan. 22. In addition, the Cost of Freedom tributes will be open to the public Friday Jan. 21st. Both the AVTT tribute and the American Heroes Air Show are free to the public. The event will kick off with a motorcycle escort on Thursday, Jan. 20. Harley Davidson of Fort Myers will be the staging location for all participants. Members of Fort Myers HOG (Harley Owner Group) chapter and other local motorcycle clubs will be escorting the tribute from the dealership to the event site. Staging begins at 3:30 p.m. and departure at 4. All local riders are invited to participate. In addition, AVTT is partnering with the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service to conduct a special Naturalization Ceremony to honor foreign members of the U.S. Military as they become America's newest citizens. The ceremony will take place at the American Heroes Air Show at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The American Heroes Air Show is the nation's premier admission-free helicopter-only aviation event dedicated to educating the public about the unique capabilities of helicopters in law enforcement, fire service, public/private EMS, homeland defense and national security.
