Texoma is honoring a World War II veteran today. Robert L. Gragg was honored at the Red Door Senior Center as a part of the World War II Greatest Generation tribute. Gragg was born in Burkburnett. He was inducted into the Army undergoing infantry training in Arkansas as a light mortar crewman in the 79th Infantry Division. Gragg was then shipped off to face the Germans in the European campaign. He finally made it back to the U.S. in 1946. Gragg insists that the true American heroes are the ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice and did not come home.
